A SECOND LIFE FOR LEFTOVER FABRICS

Aurum /àu·rum/

n. m. [from the Latin “aurum”, GOLD]

the art of turning fabrics into something precious, much like finding value in what is often overlooked

TO EXIST AND TO RESIST

About

Aure was founded in 2024 by three sisters and a simple idea: to rescue high-quality unused fabrics and transform them into linens for spaces, events, and interior decoration.

An upcycling project born from the desire to create something unique and special for everyday life. Giving a new life to precious resources that already exist in the world but have remained unsold. Limiting the waste of textile materials, while simultaneously promoting more conscious consumption.

The selection

We recover fine, pre-existing fabrics excluded from industrial sales by Italian textile manufacturers due to minor aesthetic imperfections, cancelled orders, overproduction, or end-of-line stock.
Each material is carefully evaluated and selected for its craftsmanship and durability: fabrics with hidden potential, waiting to be transformed into something precious

MADE IN ITALY CRAFTSMANSHIP

All products are designed, drawn, and finished in Italy, one by one and never in series, in the studios of small local artisans, following slow production times and dedicated attention to every single detail. Each product is made in small quantities or made to order, in compliance with high and consistent standards of quality and finish.

unique pieces

The nature of deadstock fabrics makes every production run small, special, and non-replicable, as it is created with limited resources. The result of a creative reuse process, every product is unique and tells a story of recovery, craftsmanship, and quality destined to last over time.

PHILOSOPHY

PHILOSOPHY

In a world marked by overproduction, Aure was born as a response to reflection on the enormous waste in the textile sector, where fabrics of the highest quality are often discarded due to slight imperfections.

Textiles have always been in our DNA. We grew up surrounded by extraordinary fabrics, inheriting know-how passed down through generations. Our connection to this world has taught us to see beauty where others see only surplus. And that is how every resource becomes an opportunity to create.
